For Clarkson commercial property owners and tenants

The Clarkson Business Improvement Area (CBIA) is an association of commercial property owners and tenants, within a defined area of Lakeshore Road, who work in partnership with the City of Mississauga to promote and maintain a beauitiful and thriving community that attracts shoppers, diners, tourists, and new businesses.

The Clarkson Village boundaries are located between east of Southdown Roadd through west of Meadow Wood Road on the Lakeshore in the City of Mississauga. There are currently 145 established businesses within the membership of the Village.

The mandate of all Business Improvement Areas in Ontario are governed by the Ontario Municipal Act. The Clarkson BIA Board of Directors is a group of member-elected business people and property owners from within the Village who volunteer their time to oversee the improvement, beautification and maintenance of the Village and promote local businesses and merchants.

Every business in the designated area is automatically included in the membership and contributes to the BIA’s budget. A levy is collected by the City of Mississauga but is administered by the Clarkson BIA to implement its mandates through various activities.
