ANNUAL GENERAL BIA MEETING: MEMBERS ONLY
Please join us on Wed March 7, 2012 at 7pm at Solstice Restaurant. Evening agenda will include the budget for 2012, progress made in 2011 and goals for 2012.

CLARKSON STUDY:
Steps are being taken to improve the communications between The City of Mississauga and the BIA with regards to the Clarkson Study.
For those of you who are not aware this Study was initiated almost 7 yrs ago.
There have been numerous meetings open to the public which included rate
payers associations, residents and the Clarkson Village BIA.
The Clarkson Study 2 was created by the City Planners and does not necessarily mean that Councilor Mullin, the special interests groups including ourselves are in agreement with this 2nd proposal.
The next step is to review and make recommendations which are in keeping with the village atmosphere and maintaining our heritage without too much compromise.
This Study once in agreement as to what the village should look like will go before council and be by-lawed so that should a new developer wish to develop any property within Clarkson (specifically the BIA Village boundaries) there are clear guidelines as to what type of structure is acceptable.
As a BIA member you do have a voice and it is valued. You do not have to be a landlord or property owner to have your say. If you operate a business within the village even if you are only leasing your opinion is important.
It speaks to the reasons why you choose the Clarkson Village to conduct business.

Steps will also be taken to create a special page on the Clarkson BIA website with links to the study, future meetings and the list of recommendations being brought forward as they unfold.
